Privacy & limitations

PASSFILE is a free beta utility. No account is needed and the site currently has no PASSFILE payment or advertising integration.

Your documents

Image transformations and supported PDF operations are performed by JavaScript in your browser. PASSFILE does not intentionally transmit your selected file contents to an application server. Browser-generated download links are local to your session.

Third-party infrastructure

Our host (Cloudflare) receives standard website traffic, such as IP addresses and request metadata, under its own infrastructure practices. The merge/extract PDF tools load the pdf-lib JavaScript library from jsDelivr only when needed; this requests a script from that provider, not your PDF contents. Any future analytics or advertising would require this notice to be updated.

Limits and guarantees

PASS means an output meets the selected file type, dimensions and byte-size criteria that the browser can test. It does not guarantee acceptance by a government, company or upload portal. Image resizing can remove visible content; JPEG compression can lower image quality. Password-protected PDFs and some advanced forms, annotations or digital signatures may not be preserved in a new PDF. Do not rely on this beta as the sole copy of any valuable file.

Retention

PASSFILE does not operate a user-file storage database. Closing the tab removes in-memory references; downloaded files remain wherever you saved them. The page may be cached normally by your browser, but selected file contents are not stored as part of that cache by the application.

Effective date: 8 October 2026. This text describes the current beta’s technical practices and is not a substitute for reviewing applicable privacy requirements before launching advertising or accounts.
