How PASSFILE works
The file is processed locally in your browser. For images, PASS checks the actual output format, pixel dimensions and file size. If a strict size limit cannot be met, PASSFILE reports that instead of claiming success. A PASS does not guarantee acceptance by an external portal.
Privacy by design
Your selected files are not uploaded to PASSFILE servers. Merging or extracting PDFs loads a third-party JavaScript library over the network; use only with documents you are comfortable processing in the browser. Avoid extremely large or confidential documents while the service is in beta.
Make a PDF from photographs
Choose JPG or PNG images, select A4, US Letter or original proportions, and click Create PDF. Each image becomes one page in the result.
Will the PDF have selectable text?
No. This creates a picture-based PDF, not an OCR or searchable-text document. Text visible in an image remains part of the photograph.
How does image quality change?
Pictures are encoded as JPEG images inside the PDF. Very large pictures are reduced to a maximum side length of 2,200 pixels in this beta. Check detailed text and diagrams before sharing.
